Illinois born singer/songwriter Brooke Nicole Lauritzen began her career in music as a jazz artist after attending Western Michigan University. Here she was formally trained as a classical and jazz vocalist and performed locally in vocal jazz quartet, Four Corners.
Shortly after Four Corners released their self-produced debut album Brooke excepted a contract with Celebrity Cruise Lines where she spent and the following two years performing nightly as a solo artist seeing much of the world. It was during this time that Brooke began writing and performing original pop/folk driven music.
“I was going through a transition as many people do in their early twenties. Being far away from home and living outside your comfort zone made me look in the mirror and ask myself what I wanted out of life. I decided that what I truly wanted was a chance to speak the truth and not be ashamed to show the world exactly who I am”.
Brooke returned to Chicago to focus on her songwriting career and is planning to record an EP in 2017 entitled Love and Other Natural Disasters.
